[ open ] Welcome to Chile, Cadets.
Characters: ALL.
Location: Valparaíso Shatterdome, Chile.
Date/Time: February 15th-28th.
Summary: The first shipment of recruits into the new Jaeger Academy program arrive. Some are staggered throughout the month, but they all have the same basic greeting. Here you are, there's where you sleep, here's what you wear, get going.
Additional Notes: See here for additional information. For information on the current weather, check out this link.
The Shatterdome didn't look futuristic, swatches of metal and concrete transforming a portion of the harbor into five enormous bays. Nevermind that only two were currently in use. The stark greys stand out against the colorful face of the city, a hulking monolith that's been carved into the face of the city that had once upon a century been termed the Jewel of the Pacific.
Note: Players are welcome to start their own interactions outside of the three main prompted scenarios. Go wild!

"Aren't you hot in all that?"
no subject
"No." She hops off the top bunk, landing perfectly on her feet. She stands up. Stares him down. Well, she tries to stare him down. Standing at five feet and four inches, she's not very tall. She blames her brother for taking all the height genes.
He's so... messy. This is who she has to work with? One of the people that she might trust with her life? God, this is sad.
"Recruit," she says in the same bossy tone she uses to order around her father's detectives. "Your name and age, if you please."

His expression sinks further into a—slightly puzzled—frown as she proceeds to get in his face and boss him around. (He already has Mikasa for that, thank you very much, and he doesn't like it from her, either.) He's not an exceptionally big guy, but he's got several inches on her, which means she's staring up at him while she stares him down. His shoulders square reflexively as she does. Rising to the challenge comes easy as breathing.
"Eren Jaeger. I'm sixteen," seventeen in a month or so, but that's in a month or so. That out of the way: "Who are you?"
no subject
"I'm Franziska von Karma," she says with a flourish, pausing in case he recognizes her last name. Probably not, he didn't look important enough to know about them. "I'm eighteen years old." That's right. She's older, which makes her the boss. AT least until they move her to the other barracks in a month.
"Youhave a very strange last name, Eren Jaeger."
no subject
"Hey, fuck you! It's not that strange," he's not sure what she means by that, but he defaults to defensive out of habit. "Besides, yours is pretty weird, too."
So no, he doesn't recognize it. Should he?
no subject
"My name is not strange. It means `from karma`," which doesn't really make sens, karma's not a place. But she's really proud of her name so F(ool) you. "You're the one with a name that means `hunter`. Can you even hunt?"
And about how he has the same name as the robots? Never crossed her mind.
